Analgesic Gases and Oxygen Provider Level 2 (VTQ)

This Level 2 Analgesic Gas and Oxygen Provider (VTQ) course is designed to provide each learner with theoretical skills on how to best and safely administer analgesic gas and oxygen, such as: Entonox and Nitronox. The certificate is valid for 3 years and should be renewed annually.

This course covers the basics of how to give oxygen in an emergency. First aid oxygen delivered by trained lifeguards can be an effective means of saving lives or simply assisting in recovery. In this course, you will learn the basics of assembling, using, and disassembling an oxygen kit. Oxygen is a simple skill but there are safety issues that every learner needs to be aware of.

In addition, the course was supplemented with the use of a bag valve mask (BVM) to provide breathing without direct contact with the mouth and able to deliver breaths with 100% oxygen. To meet the latest guidelines, the method of measuring oxygen concentration in the circuit is also covered in the course. On completion of this course, each learner will gain knowledge and confidence in how to handle, store, and administer oxygen and analgesic gases.

This course is ideal for training you in the use of Oxygen equipment if you work in high-risk industries such as the offshore wind and wind industry, sports facilities, schools, and more.
